Anzac Poppy!

Hi bloggers, welcome back to my blog. Today's home learning task is to do an anzac piece of art. I chose to do a poppy, made out of a shopping bag. For this I used one red shopping bag, a piece of wood, and a red pin. I coloured the red shopping bag with a black fabric marker to make it black. This is now in my front garden. Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations, and the contribution and suffering of those who have served. Have you created a piece of Anzac art?

  1. This is a great poppy Italy, I saw lots of poppies on peoples lawn today when I went out. My kids have also done some art and have put them on view for passers by. So good to see everyone remembering them :o)

  2. Hi Mrs. Davies, Thank you for a kind comment. It is nice to see that everyone is showing their appreciation. It is so cool to go past peoples houses and see poppies and other things displayed. I am looking forward to coming back to school.

    Kind regards Italy
